Hospital Linen Technician

As a Hospital Linen Technician, your responsibilities include delivery of linen carts to department closets inside one hospital, picking up soiled linen, maintaining inventory of linen in unit closets, and most importantly providing excellent customer service to our healthcare partners. This is a physical, fast-paced job that requires an eye for detail.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Create working relationships with hospital staff to ensure excellent customer service
  • Lift up to 50 pounds and pull large laundry carts
  • Count, identify and track inventory using a web-based application (basic math skills required)
  • Must be able to work some weekends and holidays
  • Criminal background check and drug test conducted
  • Work independently and communicate with hospital personnel
  • EVS, Housekeeping or Hospitality experience preferred but not required

Distribution Supervisors

Hospital Linen Distribution Supervisor

Hospital Cooperative Laundry is seeking a hospital linen distribution supervisor. HCL provides service to over 300 hospitals, surgery centers, and medical clinics. The hospital linen supervisor will be responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control and safety measures as established by HCL. The successful candidate will be a hands-on supervisor with excellent communication skills and extensive customer service experience. You will be working in a fast-paced environment providing excellent customer service to our healthcare partners while motivating and coaching your direct reports.

Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent verbal, written, and listening skills
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must be computer proficient with Microsoft Office Suite skills and willing to learn new software (Linen Helper/Linen Master)
  • Must have 1-2 years of management experience - hospitality experience a plus
  • Must be able to work on weekends and holidays
  • Must pass drug test and background

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure policies and procedures are in compliance
  • Hire, motivate and train new employees
  • Monitor and maintain linen inventory
  • Cover call outs and vacations as needed
  • Address customer service needs
  • Must be able to travel within the Denver metro area

Maintenance Job Description

Hospital Cooperative Laundry, Colorado’s largest commercial healthcare laundry, is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join a fast-paced production facility. You will be responsible for repairing, troubleshooting, installing and maintaining large state of the art industrial textile processing equipment and a 50,000 square-foot facility.  Hospital Cooperative Laundry offers excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision and supplemental insurance starting 1st of the month after 60 days.  We offer full-time employment, room for advancement, annual uniform and boot allotment, education reimbursement, UNLIMITED REFERRAL BONUSES, vacation and 401K with generous company match after one year of service.

Essential functions:

  • Installs, repairs and performs preventive maintenance on industrial processing equipment.
  • Troubleshoots electrical issues.
  • Responds to daily maintenance requests in a timely fashion to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
  • Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests and makes adjustments.
  • Studies blueprints and manufacturers’ manuals to determine the correct operation of machinery.
  • Proficient in reading electrical schematics.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years maintenance engineering experience with specific knowledge of machinery, electricity, electronics, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welder and boiler applications.
  • Proficiency in the proper use of power and hand tools.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting ability of 3 phase systems.
  • PLC programming experience.
  • Must be a team player with enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work well done; self-starter dedicated to continual quality improvement.
  • Must have availability to work some weekends and holidays.

Typical Physical Activity:

  • Standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, kneeling, working in confined areas, reaching overhead, driving a forklift, driving a scissor lift, moving equipment, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 100 lbs.
